Following the much-downloaded and widely-shared meditation piece, "Sacred Waters", "The Last Tide" is the second collaboration between the UK-based ambient guitarist Alan Lidden and Californian new age composer William Delano.

William Delano previously recorded nine albums of relaxating ambient music, which were privately distributed on home-made cassettes, and sold at New Age stores and meditation retreats in California in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Since 2018, he has been recording and releasing new music for the first time since 1984, including the album 'Southernmost', his collaboration with UK-based artist riverrun, available at riverrun.bandcamp.com/album/southernmost

Alan Lidden hails from the Poole, Dorset area of the UK, and his releases include 'Like Waves', 'Night Sea', and 'Guitar Drones, Volume 1', all self-released via Bandcamp at alanlidden.bandcamp.com. He works primarily with the guitar and a wide variety of effects pedals and treatments.
